The question in full:

Q.  Can you suggest some easy snacks to get me from one meal to the next without piling on the weight?

A. How about one of these:

  • Hummus dip with carrot and celery sticks (we like the Black Swan brand)
  • 2 Vita-Weats with a thin slice of cheese
  • 150 g tub of low-fat fruit yoghurt
  • 4 prunes
  • 1 rice cake spread with peanut butter (buy whole grain)
  • Small pack of Weight Watchers potato crisps
  • Mug of hot vegetable or pumpkin soup
