Q. Why do my kids love fast food so much?

A. Because it's soft and easy to swallow with no chewing needed and they can eat it with the fingers - no mess, no fiddling with a fork and knife. And it's only the meat and starchy components of a meal like the burger with bun or the chicken with chips. There's no vegetables or salad which kids traditionally don't like eating.

It's salty with sweet addition like barbecue sauce and appeals to the mass market palate for taste and flavour. Avoid buyig it for your kids as much as you can.
