Soup has a whole lot to recommend it. It’s satisfying for fewer kilojoules/Calories; it’s warming and research shows you eat fewer kilojoules/Calories in total if you start your meal with a bowl of soup. So, it acts as a natural appetite regulator. And as winter is almost here in the southern hemisphere, even though the weather is still unseasonably mild and pleasant, thoughts naturally turn to warm, comforting, satisfying foods. Nothing says ‘warm and satisfying’ better than soup!
Having soup before a meal can be a great help in preventing those winter kilos from settling around your middle. In this edition of the FoodwatchNewsletter I share lots of info and soup recipes, as well as offer you a 20% discount off my Handy Foodwatch eGuides.
